Hey there! I’m glad you’re here. I am passionate about helping young women overcome anxiety, perfectionism and complex trauma, so that they can develop the confidence to build healthy relationships with themselves and others.

Hi, I’m Shanice!

A therapist, mom, and recovering people-pleaser

I know first-hand the difficulty that a lifetime of anxiety, insecurity, and limiting beliefs can be on pursuing lasting change. Through our work together, we can identify why you show in the world the way that you do, and identify strategies to help you build confidence and trust within yourself to be the person you truly desire to be.

who I work with

I specialize in working with young women who struggle with anxiety, people-pleasing tendencies, perfectionism, co-dependency, and relational trauma. They operate with high functioning-anxiety, and are known as the problem-solvers, the fixers, and the empaths who may avoid or fear conflict. These women may feel disconnected from their feelings, and instead, intellectualize them ~ or try to outthink them. They believe that there is a solution to their problems, outside of themselves & if they can figure it out, everything will be better.

Often, client’s I work with have tried therapy before. They tend to “outsmart” other therapists with their high levels of self-awareness and intellectualization. As a therapist who specializes in intellectualizing, I help my client’s understand why they do this, and focus on learning how to be present with their feelings vs “thinking” or trying to “resolve” every emotion they have.

As a therapist, I help my clients learn how to stop intellectualizing their feelings and learn how to feel, embrace, and live with them instead.
